| Legnopastello is ideal for staining, colouring and lacquering furniture, doors, frames, wood floors and wood articles to be used inside and outside the house.
This product provides various aesthetic effects in 8 pastel shade colours:
1. Painting with visible grains - without covering grains.
2. Full-colour lacquering - covers the grains and/or old varnish (useful when the old varnish is considerably deteriorated).
3. "Decapà" effect to give the wood a special look.
1. DYEING TREATMENT AND VARNISHING WITH VISIBLE GRAINS
(gives wood the desired pastel shade without covering the wood grains):
- Dilute the product 15-20% with water and brush on a light coat on sanded and clean wood, in the direction of the wood grains.
- 2/3 minutes after application, go over the surface with a dry and clean cloth to make the colour uniform and remove any excess product.
- Wait 3-4 hours and apply a coat of clear water varnish, gloss or matt (Pinteco).
- Allow to dry for 12 hours, carefully sandpaper and terminate treatment by applying another coat of clear varnish.
2. FULL-COLOUR LACQUER TREATMENT
(permits obtaining a full-colour lacquer effect, soft to the touch and resistant to wear, both on rough and already-varnished wood. In the case of already-varnished wood, to be restored, sandpaper very well or remove all the old varnish not perfectly anchored to the surface):
- Apply 2 coats of Legnopastello at 2 hours intervals.
- Allow to dry for 24 hours, carefully sandpaper and finish treatment by applying another coat of Legnopastello of the desired colour.
- The surface will be perfectly dry to the touch 24 hours after the last application.
3. TREATMENT WITH "DECAPE'" EFFECT
Allows colouring and evidencing the pores and grains of the wood (for this type of treatment, it is best to use a type of wood with deep pores and well-defined grains. E.g., ash and oak).
- Apply a coat of transparent water varnish (Pinteco) diluted at 30%.
- After 3-4 hours, apply a coat of Legnopastello of the desired colour.
- Allow to dry for 3-4 hours and sandpaper with very fine grained sandpaper, removing the colour from the full surface and leaving this in the wood pores.
- Apply 1-2 coats of transparent water varnish, gloss or matt (Pinteco).
- After 24 hours from the last application, carefully sandpaper and terminate with another coat of transparent varnish.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- Apply Legnopastello on well-sanded, clean and dry surfaces.
- Before treating the surfaces, it is best to perform several colour tests.
- Stir the product well before use.
- Apply with brush or spray.
- All the colour shades can be blended together (to obtain a lighter colour, add white Legnopastello).
- To treat surfaces with visible grains, dilute Legnopastello 15/20% with water.
- The implements used can be immediately washed afterwards with water. |
