| This is a mix of natural shellac in an alcohol solution.
This product is ideal for treating and, in particular, for finishing-French polishing period furniture and wood article for interiors in general.
Because of its special colour features, softness to the touch and aesthetic effect, Bionda has always been an essential product for cabinet makers for polishing period furniture.
To shellac varnish and polish, apply the product uniformly with a pad, working in a rotary direction or in the form of an 8.
Apply several coats, leaving 2/3 hours between one coat and the next and repeat the operation until the pores are completely closed.
To speed things up, start the varnish treatment by applying 2/3 coats of shellac filler primer (Laccantica-amber primer or Tampoval transparent primer) and finish off with 1/2 coats of Bionda.
Instrutions for use:
Furniture to be renovated.
- In the case if furniture that has been closed for some time, this is best left open for at least one day.
- Eliminate any wax or oil using a dewaxer and a small piece of fine steel wool.
- Allow to dry and to favour adherence of the shellac, clean with a cloth soaked in alcohol.
New Furniture:
- On natural wood, apply the shellac directly.
- On stained wood, make sure the stain is perfectly dry.
- Apply 2 coats of Bionda, leaving 2/3 hours between one application and the next
- Leave to dry for 4/5 hours and sandpaper slightly.
